The Isle of Man Steam Railway


Coat of ArmsThe Steam Railway - Dating from the 1870s the 15 miles of 3ft gauge line from Douglas to Port Erin is all that remains of a system that reached to Peel, Foxdale and Ramsey.

Steam locomotives and stock are all from the original companies, the passenger coaches dating from 1881 to 1926. Trains are run to a regular timetable during the summer months.



Steam locomotives planned for  use in 1999 date from 1873 to 1908.
