How do you get here?

As we are an island with the nearest part of the UK sixteen miles away and no bridges or tunnels there are two choices - by boat or air.

The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company operate year round car ferry sailing's from Heysham and Liverpool in England, with seasonal services from Belfast, Northern Ireland and Dublin in the Republic of Ireland. Crossing times from the UK are about four hours by conventional ferry and about half that on the fast craft in the summer months.

Manx Airlines, our based airline, operate regular services from London (Heathrow and Luton), Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Glasgow, Leeds, Southampton, Jersey and Dublin.

British European operate regular services from London City, Belfast, and Bristol.

If you have your own aircraft, no problem, we have a well equipped airport at Ronaldsway with Radar and ILS. Avgas 100LL and Jet A1 fuel is available and we can take aircraft up to Boeing 757 size. There is also a smaller private airfield at Andreas. If you want to sail your own boat there are harbours at Douglas, Castletown, Port St Mary, Port Erin, Peel, Ramsey and Laxey. The tidal range is quite large here and many dry out out low tide, so watch your times!

So - it's easy to get here, sorry no direct flights from Europe or further afield, you'll have to travel via the UK or Ireland.
